Basics of Lead Management in Chakra Chat

Chakra Chat includes built-in lead management features to help you organize customers and manage your sales pipeline.

How Leads Are Created

Leads are created automatically or manually in the following ways:

  • Incoming chat – Any incoming WhatsApp message automatically creates a lead.
  • Bulk broadcast campaign – Leads imported via an external list (table or CSV) during a broadcast campaign.
  • Manual creation – Add a single lead directly using the lead form (+ button).
  • Bulk upload – Import multiple leads at once using a CSV file.
  • Webhook / Plugin – Leads created programmatically via Chakra Plugin webhook integration.

Deduplication: If a new lead shares a phone number with an existing lead, the two are automatically merged — no duplicates are created.
