How to create a Form Template?

You can send native forms on whatsapp by using Flow templates. Please follow the steps below to configure a simple KYC form

Setup a new template​

  • Go to WhatsApp manager
  • Click Create Template button from the top right corner
  • Under Marketing section choose 'Flows'
  • Click Next from the bottom left corner

Configure the template​

  • Name your template and choose appropriate language
  • Under "Flow Setup", click Create New
  • Choose the option Custom Form
  • You will be taken the form configuration screen
    • Add relevant fields to your form
    • For example, lets say you want to capture name and email address
    • First name the form as "KYC Form"
    • Expand the body section and delete it or change the text to suit your needs
    • Click Add Content and choose Short Answer under Text Answer
    • This adds a new text input
    • Add Your Name as the label of this new input
    • Click Add Content again and choose Short Answer under Text Answer
    • But now first choose the type of this input as Email
    • Add Your Email as the label of this new input
    • You can use the Required toggle to mark which fields are mandatory
    • Click Save to save the flow
  • Fill out the rest of the message template details
  • Save this template

You can configure the handling of responses gathered from flow template messages by accessing the Flow section of your WhatsApp plugin. More details on the same can be found here.
