🔀 Add a Decision Step in Your Campaign Workflow

Want your campaign to take different actions based on what the user does — like whether they read your message or not? That’s where Decision Steps come in!

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to send different follow-up messages based on whether a lead read the previous WhatsApp message.


🛠️ How to Set It Up

  1. Click the + button right after a Send WhatsApp Message step.
  2. Select “Decision” from the step options.
  3. A new decision node with two branches (Yes and No) will appear.
  4. In the configuration panel:
    • Click “Add Rule”
    • In the first dropdown, select the previous message step
    • In the next field, choose “was read”
    • Toggle the switch on the right to Yes
  5. Scroll to the “When” section:
    • Set it to “Relative”
    • Choose 1 day
    • 🔔 This is important! It gives your lead some time to read the message before making a decision.

✅ What Happens Next

  • Click the + under the Yes branch to add the next WhatsApp message.
  • Configure the message step just like you would normally.
  • Don’t forget to hit Save at the top-right corner of the campaign builder.

That’s it! 🎉 Now your campaign will only send the second message if the lead reads the first one within 1 day.
