🔁 How to setup a WhatsApp drip campaign for new leads?
Want to engage your leads with perfectly timed messages? Drip campaigns let you do just that! Let’s walk through how to create a 3-step workflow that automatically sends messages based on timing you define.
📅 Your campaign schedule:
- Instantly: Send a welcome message
- After 2 days: Send a reminder
- After 3 days: Send a thank you message
Let’s build it step by step:
🛠️ Step 1: Create a workflow campaign
- Go to Admin > Lead > Campaigns.
- Click “Create Campaign” on the top right.
- Give your campaign a name.
- Choose Workflow Campaign – this allows you to build multi-step message flows.
- Click

to launch the visual campaign builder.
💬 Step 2: Add the welcome message
- Click the ➕ button to add a new step.
- Select “Send WhatsApp Message” from the menu.
- A message node appears — name it “Welcome Message”.
- Configure:
- Choose the phone number attribute, WhatsApp plugin, from number, and message template.
- Under

, select “Immediately”. - Click Save.
- Hit Save again (top right) to save your campaign progress.
⏳ Step 3: Add the reminder message
- Click the ➕ button under the Welcome step.
- Select “Send WhatsApp Message” again.
- Rename this node to “Reminder”.
- Configure all message settings as before.

- This ensures the message goes out 2 days after the welcome message.

- Click the ➕ button under the Reminder step.
- Choose “Send WhatsApp Message”.
- Rename this step to “Thank You”.
- Configure your message as usual.

- This step will execute 3 days after the welcome message.
- Click Save, then save the campaign.
✅ Step 5: Activate the campaign
Toggle the Active switch next to the Save button to activate your drip campaign.
That’s it — your campaign is live!
You can now either:
- Manually add leads to this campaign
- Or set up an automation to enroll leads automatically
