Create a drip campaign

Lets say you have to create a drip campaign for new leads. Lets say your campaign has to follow the following schedule

  • Send a welcome message immediately
  • After 2 days, send a reminder
  • After 3 days, send a thank you message

Follow the steps below:

Create a Workflow Campaign​

  • Go to Lead Campaigns List [Admin > Lead > Campaigns]
  • Click "Create Campaign" from the top right corner
  • Provide a campaign name
  • Select Workflow Campaign - this type of campaign allows you to create multi-step campaigns
  • Click Create
  • This will create and open the campaign builder

Create the first message step​

  • Click the + button to add a new step
  • You will see a menu with possible step options will open up
  • Click "Send WhatsApp Message"
  • A new "Send WhatsApp Message" node will appear and its configuration panel will slide into view
  • Change the name to "Welcome message"
  • Configure this step by selecting appropriate settings like to phone number attribute, WhatsApp plugin, from phone number, message template, ...
  • Under When select immediately. This config controls the relative of when the step will be executed.
  • Click Save to save the step
  • Save the campaign by clicking save on the top right corner

Create the second message step​

  • Click the + button under the welcome step to add a new step
  • You will see a menu with possible step options will open up
  • Click "Send WhatsApp Message"
  • A new "Send WhatsApp Message" node will appear and its configuration panel will slide into view
  • Change the name to "Reminder"
  • Configure this step by selecting appropriate settings like to phone number attribute, WhatsApp plugin, from phone number, message template, ...
  • Under When select "at a relative time".
    • Then enter '2' under After
    • Select 'Days' under Unit
  • The configuration in the previous step ensures that this step is executed 2 days after the first step is executed
  • Click Save to save the step
  • Save the campaign by clicking save on the top right corner

Create the third message step​

  • Click the + button under the reminder step to add a new step
  • You will see a menu with possible step options will open up
  • Click "Send WhatsApp Message"
  • A new "Send WhatsApp Message" node will appear and its configuration panel will slide into view
  • Change the name to "Thank you"
  • Configure this step by selecting appropriate settings like to phone number attribute, WhatsApp plugin, from phone number, message template, ...
  • Under When select "at a relative time".
    • Then enter '3' under After
    • Select 'Days' under Unit
  • The configuration in the previous step ensures that this step is executed 3 days after the first step is executed
  • Click Save to save the step
  • Save the campaign by clicking save on the top right corner

Activate the campaign​

  • Set the toggle next to the save button to Active

That's it you are now ready to use this campaign. You can do this by adding leads manually to this campaign or setting up an automation to automatically add leads to this campaign. Below is an image of how the campaign should look like if you have configured all the steps correctly.
