Simple Steps to Off-board from WhatsApp Business App and Re-Onboard

This process helps fix issues like glitches or outdated data by starting fresh. It's for the WhatsApp Business app (SMB app).
⚠️⚠️ Important Warning: You'll lose access to your old account, so back up chats first. This can't be undone easily.
Step-1: Back Up Chat History
- Open WhatsApp Business on your phone.
- Go to Settings (bottom right on Android; top right on iOS).
- Tap Chats > Chat backup.
- Connect to Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iOS) if not already.
- Tap Back up to save everything. Do a manual backup now.
- Why? This saves your messages, media, and contacts so you can restore them later.
Step 2: Off-board Account
(Delete/Remove WhatsApp Business account (SMB app)
- In the app, go to Settings > Account.
- Scroll to Delete my account.
- Enter your phone number and confirm.
- Follow prompts to delete—it may take a few minutes.
- Your account is gone from WhatsApp's servers. You're fully logged out.
Step 3: Re-Onboard
(Create a New Account)
- Uninstall and reinstall the WhatsApp Business app from your app store (Google Play or App Store).
- Open the app and agree to terms.
- Verify your phone number (use the same or a new one—same works for a fresh start).
- Set up your business profile (name, description, etc.).
- When asked, restore from your backup (from Step 1) to get your chats back.
