Chakra Chat Onboarding Guide
Welcome to Chakra Chat! This step-by-step guide will help you set up your WhatsApp Business API account on Chakra quickly and smoothly.
1. Signup
To access Chakra account
- Create your Chakra account here - Chakra Account Creation
- Signup using Gmail

- By default, a new account is part of the Free Tier. Check available features in the free plan and other paid subscription plans
2. Setup Checklist
Before connecting your number, ensure all requirements are met: Setup Pre-requisites Checklist
✅️ The WhatsApp Business API registration is for Businesses.
✅️ Meta Business Manager
✅️ A Phone Number (NEW) or a WhatsApp Business Phone Number
✅️ Business Details (Business Name, Address, Website)
✅️ Tax Info as per local regulations. (GST for India, VAT for UK/Australia, etc)
3. Connect WhatsApp Number
Choose the setup flow from the below options:

Important Note:
- Currently, Display Name in Coexistence setup is not supported by Meta. It is only supported in only WhatsApp Business API number setups
- Although, with a Meta verified subscription [Paid], the display name with a blue tick can be enabled in your connected Number.
4. Add Meta Payment Method
If your use case requires sending template messages, you need to add a payment method in Meta Business Manager separately. The charges are billed by WhatsApp directly to your business at per Meta standard rates
To send template messages (required for initiating conversations outside the 24-hour window):

Note: Template messaging charges are billed directly by Meta (WhatsApp). Chakra does not add any markup — you pay Meta’s standard rates.
5. Check Account Setup
Confirm everything about your accoutn setup is approved.

6. Upgrade to Paid Plan
To Unlock full features and higher template messaging limits
- Free Plan doesn't provide ❌ template messages sending feature
- Follow the steps in the Upgrade Plan Help guide: Upgrade to a Paid Plan
7. Meta Business Verification
[Optional] Required for higher messaging limits or faster display name approval if enabled for your business.
Follow the steps in this Business Verification Guide to complete business verification.
- Business verification enables higher template messaging limit. Default is 250 in 24 hours
8. Test All Chakra Features
Quickly test important Chakra feature use cases on your test receipient numbers:
- Send a message to your connected number from a test customer number
- Create a Template Message
- Send a template message / broadcast campaign
- Crate a Chatbot
